Objective

Understanding a potential use of HTML Canvas for developing interactive Stock Charts and How to do live charts using node.js and socket.io

Description

In this demo we describe how we can develop interactive real-time stock charts using HTML 5 canvas and node.js with socket.io. Basically this will initially introduce, tickp a library for plotting js charts and how to use it for real-time charts using a simple demo

Requirements

internet connection and ability to do SSH to a server (without all the http_proxy and stuff)

    Hi Gabhijit, I am glad to see you are working hard to make tickerPlot realtime using node.js I am really forward to see it live. I have one request to you add one more indicator called "Elliot Wave" you can take reference from "https://www.tradingview.com/e/" trading view is also based on node.js I guess you can easily replicate that by using their javascript which seems to be opensource Also you can get realtime data for indian stock from google eg. http://www.google.com/finance/getprices?q=DLF&i=60&p=31&f=d,o,h,l,c,v http://finance.google.com/finance/info?client=ig&q=NSE:DLF

    I am looking forward to see realtime 1,2,3,4,5 min chart on tickp
